15 days from
History, culture, and pasta, from Lake Como to the Amalfi Coast.
From the bustling streets of Naples to the architectural wonders of Rome, Italy has the wow factor in spades. Explore ‘La Belle Paese’s’ most iconic destinations over 15 days on this show-stopping group tour. We’re talking everything from Florence’s dazzling Duomo, and the pastel villages of Cinque Terre to Juliet’s balcony, glitzy Lake Como, and that famous leaning tower. Add to that a cruise on the Amalfi Coast, a night on a private Venetian island, and the best pizza in the world, and you’ve got a dream trip on your hands.
Day 1: Discover Rome
Arrive in the Eternal City and make your way to our meet point, before getting your first taste of Italy on a guided tour. See the city's historic highlights, and lively street life. Tonight, tuck into a mouth-watering Italian feast, washed down with a glass of two of Chianti - when in Rome.
Day 2: Spectacular Siena
Our first stop today is one of the Italy's prettiest cities - Siena. Explore medieval masterpieces and sip coffee in the Piazza del Campo, before journeying on to fabulous Florence. Watch the sun go down over the Arno, before heading out for dinner - don't miss the famous bistecca alla Fiorentina.
Day 3: Florence Tour
Take a walking tour of this living museum today, soaking up views of the Bell Tower, Basilica Santa Croce, Piazza della Signoria, and the dazzling Duomo. After a full day on your feet, spend the evening wining and dining with a risotto evening complete with antipasti and some local Chianti.
Day 4: Pisa & Wine Tasting
We're off to see the world's most famous architectural disaster in Pisa. Take the classic 'holding up the tower' selfie, before continuing to picture-perfect Lucca for a stroll, a spot of lunch, and some optional wine tasting. Our home for the night is bustling La Spezia in the heart of the Italian Riviera.
Day 5: Cinque Terre Train
Discover beautiful Cinque Terre - a string of pastel-coloured seaside villages on the Riviera's rugged coastline. Explore at your own pace with an unlimited hike and train ticket, marvelling at pretty harbours and gravity defying buildings. Tonight, take an optional Ligurian pesto making class.
Day 6: Lake Como
Hit the road to Milan with a stop en route at Lake Como - playground of the rich and famous. Explore the mega-watt villas and lush gardens, before taking an optional cruise on the lake. Then continue to Milan where you'll have a free night to wine and dine - Risotto alla Milanese per favore.
Day 7: Fair Verona
On to fair Verona, where we'll check out Juliet's famed balcony, and the Roman Arena, before continuing to the one-and-only Venice, where we'll spend the night in a very special stay on the island of San Servolo, with dreamy views over Venice Lagoon.
Day 8: Venice Cruise
Cruise across the Lagoon to the historic heart of the city in a private motoscafo. Admire the magnificent marble palazzi, take a gondola ride down the backwaters, and cool down with a gelato on one of the grand squares. Tonight, sample chichetti (Venetian tapas) on a food and wine tour.
Day 9: Bologna & Rome
Come hungry today - we're stopping off in Italy's gastronomic capital. Home of parmigiano, prosciutto, and the hearty Bolognese sauce, Bologna is a foodie's dream. All roads lead to Rome and that's where we're headed back to tonight, in time for an evening out in the city.
Day 10: Vatican City Tour
Channel your spiritual side today with a visit to the world's smallest independent state - Vatican City. Take a guided tour of the museums, including the legendary Sistine Chapel with its ravishing frescoes. Head out for some more dolce vita after dark.
Day 11: Explore Naples
The home of pizza is next with its rough and ready charm, historic buildings, and stirring landscapes. Join an optional excursion to Pompeii, enjoy views of Mount Vesuvius and tuck into some of the city's tastiest foods on an optional street food tour with a local guide.
Day 12: Sorrento & Ravello
Head to the coast today, starting with colourful Sorrento. Take a passeggiata along the harbour, knock back an ice-cold limoncello, and enjoy lunch at a family-run mozzarella farm. Check out ravishing Ravello and stop for views over Positano, en route to Salerno, where we'll spend the night.
Day 13: Amalfi Coast Cruise
Take an unforgettable cruise along the coast, past cliffs peppered with rainbow-coloured buildings, before opting to visit a local lemon farm for an insight into the region's most famous crop. Tonight, join our optional organic dinner at a family-owned eco farm.
Day 14: Back to Rome
We're back where we started in Bella Roma. Walk in the footsteps of gladiators with an optional tour of the iconic Colosseum, before learning how to cook like a local tonight with an optional pasta making class, where you can eat your own creations washed down with a glass of wine.
Day 15: Arrivederci Italy
Say a final 'ciao' to your group and guide and head off after breakfast. Ti amo Italia!
