Accommodation & Meals

Accommodation

All accommodation is included on this trip. You’ll stay in a selection of hand-picked hotels, from an opulent 19th Century house with period Sicilian furnishings, to an oceanfront resort with panoramic views of the bay of Taormina. Rooms are on a twin or triple share basis.

Lots of our travellers are solo travellers, so when you book with us, we’ll pair you up with a like-minded roommate of the same sex. Our trips are great for couples or friends as well - just let us know you’re together, so we can be sure to put you in the same room.

The above information is only intended to be used as a guide, giving you a flavour of some of our accommodation providers, and the style of accommodation you may be staying in. Please note that all nights are subject to change.

Meals

7 breakfasts and 2 dinners are included on this trip. You’ll have the freedom to eat wherever and whenever you like the rest of the time.

As with most of Italy, one of the main attractions in Sicily is the food. While much of the cuisine here is Italian, there are some recipes that stand out as unique to the island. Iconic Sicilan dishes include the delicious arancini (deep fried balls of risotto rice with a meat or vegetable stuffing), caponata (a sweet, savoury, and piquant aubergine stew) and pasta con le sarde (pasta with fresh sardines, anchovies, wild fennel, pine nuts, and raisins).
