Kenya Safari Adventure

6 days from £1,841 £1,710

The Big Five, warrior tribes and African skies

Kenya is the Africa you’ve dreamt of. This is where you can meet the Maasai people, witness the Great Migration, and see elephants silhouetted against Mt Kilimanjaro as the sun goes down. This 6-day trip is a budget friendly way to have the full safari experience. With multiple thrilling game drives across Maasai Mara and Amboseli National Parks, the wildlife viewing opportunities here are unparalleled. You’ll see lions basking in the sun, cheetahs in full flight, giraffes loping across the savannah, and huge herds of buffalo grazing on grasslands. It’s not just about the animals though. You’ll also take a guided tour of an indigenous village with a Maasai warrior, visit a community project in a Nairobi slum, and spend your nights eating and drinking under the stars in wilderness camps. Kenya is calling.

Highlights include

Maasai Mara
5 x game drives
Elephant orphanage (optional)
Nairobi slums visit
Amboseli Park
Maasai safari camp

Accommodation & Meals

Accommodation

5 nights of accommodation are included on this trip. You’ll spend one night in a hotel and four nights in cosy lodges. Rooms are on a twin share basis.

Lots of our travellers are solo travellers, so when you book with us, we’ll pair you up with a like-minded roommate of the same sex. Our trips are great for couples or friends as well - just let us know you’re together, so we can be sure to put you in the same room.

Meals

5 breakfasts, 3 lunches and 4 dinners are included on this trip. The rest of the time you’ll have the freedom to eat wherever and whenever you like.

While Kenya is best known for its amazing wildlife and landscapes, Kenyan food is another great reason to add this fascinating country to your bucket list. With each community having its own native food, and coastal regions eating very differently to those inland, there’s a real eclectic mix of dishes on offer. Spongy, starchy ugali is the cornmeal based Kenyan staple, then there’s melt in the mouth nyama (stewed beef), spicy kuku paku (a Kenyan take on chicken curry), matoke (a rich stew made from green bananas, tomatoes, onion, and garlic), and Kenya’s favourite sweet treat, mandazi (a fragrant, doughnut like snack) to round off.
