The Big Five, warrior tribes and African skies
Kenya is the Africa you’ve dreamt of. This is where you can meet the Maasai people, witness the Great Migration, and see elephants silhouetted against Mt Kilimanjaro as the sun goes down. This 6-day trip is a budget friendly way to have the full safari experience. With multiple thrilling game drives across Maasai Mara and Amboseli National Parks, the wildlife viewing opportunities here are unparalleled. You’ll see lions basking in the sun, cheetahs in full flight, giraffes loping across the savannah, and huge herds of buffalo grazing on grasslands. It’s not just about the animals though. You’ll also take a guided tour of an indigenous village with a Maasai warrior, visit a community project in a Nairobi slum, and spend your nights eating and drinking under the stars in wilderness camps. Kenya is calling.

Itinerary

Day 1: Maasai Mara
Arrive in Nairobi and hop straight in our safari vehicle. Travel through the Great Rift Valley to the Maasai Mara where we'll head out on our first game drive. Roll through vast grasslands and acacia dotted plains, looking for wildebeest, lions, and crocs. Tonight, dine under African stars on camp.

Day 2: Game Drive
Take your morning to the next level with an optional hot air balloon ride over the savannah at sunrise. Then see the Mara's most charismatic species on a morning game drive, before lunch and a swim at the lodge. This afternoon, seek out Africa's big cats on an optional second game drive.

Day 3: Nairobi slums
Enjoy a morning drive on the expansive plains of the Maasai Mara, before travelling back to Nairobi. Visit the Kibera Slum to see the work being done by a local foundation to help underprivileged women and children improve their quality of life through education. Then head out for dinner.

Day 4: Elephants
Take an optional game drive in Nairobi National Park (the world's only national park in a capital city) before our heart-melting trip to an elephant orphanage. Meet the baby animals and learn about the centre's rehabilitation work, before heading to our lodge on the fringes of Amboseli National Park.

Day 5: Amboseli Game Drive
Take an optional safari walk to a Maasai village this morning. Learn about local culture from our Maasai warrior guides, before lunch. This afternoon, take a game drive in Amboseli National Park's vast grasslands, for views of elephants roaming, and giraffes silhouetted against Mt Kilimanjaro.

Day 6: Morning Game Drive
Round off your unforgettable trip with one last game drive in Amboseli National Park. See vast herds of wildebeest grazing, hippos bathing, elephants caring for their young, and lions lazing in the African sun. Then travel back to Nairobi where we'll say our goodbyes.
