Day 2: Up to Byron Bay
After another mouth-watering BBQ, continue north, stopping off for a picture at the Big Banana (exactly as it sounds!), and arrive at Byron Bay.
Day 3: Free day in Byron Bay
Enjoy a free day in Byron Bay. Spend the day sipping cold brew at one of the hipster coffee shops or dial up the action with some optional adventure activities.

Next stop: Brisbane, a lively city of soaring skyscrapers, chic restaurants and gleaming riverside boulevards. First though, stop off for a few idle hours on the sun-kissed sands of Surfers Paradise and an authentic aboriginal experience.
Day 5: Noosa and Fraser
See the undulating peaks of the Glasshouse Mountains and the exquisite beaches of Noosa, before boarding a ferry across to Fraser Island.
Day 6: Fraser Island
Spend the day tearing across Fraser Island in a 4x4, taking in the brilliant blue waters of Lake McKenzie, the atmospheric Maheno shipwreck and the gentle fresh water flow of Eli Creek.
Day 7: Up the coast
Continue your journey north along the coast. Spend the night on a working Australian cattle station.
Day 8: Farm Life
Explore the 2500 acres of the farm on horseback or on a motorbike. Trip whip-cracking or lassoing, milk the cows, or go hiking around the farm.
Day 9: The Whitsunday Islands
Leave the farm behind and journey up to Airlie Beach, where you'll board a private yacht. Set sail on the Coral Sea and embark on a 2-day cruise around the Whitsunday Islands.
Day 10: Sailing the Whitsundays
Wake up to the gentle rock of your private yacht. Continue to cruise across these azure seas and stop off on the brilliant white sands of Whitehaven Beach. Return to the mainland this evening.
Day 11: Magnetic Island
Another day, another island. Magnetic Island is covered in lush jungle and diverse wildlife and offers some of the finest walking trails in all of Australia.
Day 12: Wildlife Tour
See crocodiles, blue tongue lizards, koalas and more on a private tour of a local wildlife park. Then complete the final leg of your journey to Cairns.
