What you get
Days 1-2: Delhi
Fly into Delhi and make your way into the bustling city centre. Delve into the streets with a local youth guide, before exploring atmospheric Old Delhi. Board an overnight train to Bikaner on day 2.
Days 3-4: Desert camel safari
Trek into the sand dunes of the Thar Desert on a camel and witness a spectacular sunset. Spend the night in a traditional desert camp. Wake early and watch the sun rise over the desert.
Days 5-6: The Golden City
Journey east to Jaisalmer and discover the city's imposing desert fort. At sunset, the city walls burn a brilliant golden-orange.
Day 7: The Blue City
Known for its sea of blue-tinged buildings, Jodhpur is a city of colour and clamour. Explore at your leisure this afternoon.
Days 8-9: Udaipur
Plunge south to the lake-front city of Udaipur, known for its majestic white marble palaces and breath-taking views. Relax by the lake and wander through fragrant palace gardens.
Day 10: Pushkar
Traverse the rugged slopes of Snake Mountain and arrive in Pushkar, on the shores of a sacred Hindu lake. Uncover the city's temples and markets this afternoon.
Day 11: Tordi Sāgar
Experience rural life in Tordi Sāgar. Wander the cobblers' stalls and potters' shops or hike into the hills and gaze out across the rolling landscape.
Days 12-13: The Pink City
After a traditional local lunch in the village, strike north to the pink stucco walls of Jaipur. Explore the mighty Amber Fort on a guided tour.
Days 14-15: Āgra
Take the train to Āgra and discover India's most iconic landmark - the Taj Mahal. Tour the site with an expert guide and learn about its impressive Mughal architecture and heritage.
Days 16-18: Varanasi
Arrive in Varanasi, an important pilgrimage site for millions of Hindus. Cruise along the River Ganges at sunset and sunrise and participate in a sacred candle flower ceremony.
Days 19-20: Delhi
Spend your final day in India's magnificent capital. Gather with your group and raise a toast to this unforgettable adventure. The tour ends on day 20.
