Itinerary
Day 1: Hello Bali
Feel the wall of warm air hit you as you get off the plane in Denpasar. One of our team will whisk you off to our accommodation right by the beach in lively Canggu. Check in and chill out, either by the rooftop pool or on the golden sands. Later, get to know the rest of your group over drinks.
Day 2: Temples & Beach Bars
Channel your spiritual side today as we visit two of Bali's most famous temples - the gorgeous garden temple of Taman Ayun, and Tanah Lot, an ancient shrine perched on a rocky outcrop jutting into the sea. This afternoon, grab a cocktail on the sands in a laid-back beach bar.
Day 3: Kuta Surf Lesson
Learn to ride Bali's famous rollers today with a surf lesson on one of its best surf beaches. Spend the rest of the afternoon practicing your new skills, soaking up the sun on the sands, or relaxing by the pool. Then wash the salt out of your hair before dinner and drinks with the group.
Day 4: Waterfalls & Ubud
We're heading inland today to Bali's cultural heart, the lush, bohemian town of Ubud. On the way we'll stop at Tegenungan Waterfall for a cooling swim and some envy-inducing selfies. Spend the afternoon lazing by the hotel pool, or explore Ubud's artsy boutiques and veggie cafes.
Day 5: Cooking & Monkeys
A local family will take us to Ubud's colourful food market today where we'll learn about everyday Balinese ingredients, before using some of the produce in a hands-on cooking class. This afternoon, we'll visit a forest temple and meet its cheeky residents - a large troop of wild macaques.
Day 6: Ubud Rice Terraces
Pay a visit to the famous rice terraces of Tegalalang today. Wander through emerald green landscapes, and learn about the importance of this staple crop to local life. Enjoy lunch looking out over Mr Batur, an active volcano, before an afternoon shopping for handicrafts in a local market.
Day 7: Ferry to Paradise
Take the ferry to the tropical island of Gili Trawangan. A picture-perfect vision of shimmering sea, swaying palms and snow-white sand, the car-free island is as close to heaven on Earth as it gets. Sip a coconut in the shade and starfish in the turquoise water, before sundowners on the sands.
Day 8: Gili Island Hopping
Board our private boat for a day of snorkelling, sun, and secret beaches. We'll sail round all three Gili Islands, swimming with colourful tropical fish, stopping at hidden swimming spots, and grabbing lunch on Gili Air. Sail back after the most amazing day, ready for a night in Gili T's beach bars.
Day 9: Island Bike Ride
With no motorised vehicles allowed, bike is the best way to explore beautiful Gili Trawangan. Feel the wind in your hair as you cycle from one spectacular beach to the next. Stop at the famous Gili T swings, refresh yourself with an ice-cold smoothie, and watch the sun set over the ocean.
Day 10: Lovely Lombok
Say farewell to the Gilis and travel on to Lombok, an island that is every bit as blessed with beaches and beauty as Bali, but less well touristed. We'll stay in the surf paradise of Kuta Lombok. Spend a relaxed afternoon by the pool or explore the town's hippy shops and cafes.
Day 11: Sasak Village
Start your day with an unforgettable cultural experience at the Sasak tribe's village. Learn about their traditional way of life, based around weaving and farming, and have a go at weaving, before trekking through jungle to two of Lombok's most beautiful waterfalls for a swim.
Day 12: Lombok Beaches
Today's all about that beach life, with stops on some of Lombok's most secluded sands. We're talking sugar-white shores lapped by turquoise waters, and pristine jungle backdrops. We'll grab a beachside lunch from one of the local restaurants and spend the rest of the day relaxing.
Day 13: Sumbawa Island
Take a ferry to Sumbawa, a volcanic island known for its sandy beaches, coral reefs, and wild terrain. Far less developed than Bali or Lombok, Sumbawa is a great place to experience the 'real' Indonesia. Spend the afternoon reclined on the beach or by the pool before dinner and drinks with the group.
Day 14: Moyo Island
We're off to a real life Eden today. With reefs and jungle that teem with life and beautiful beaches of fine coral, Moyo is a natural wonderland. Our local guides will take us to the heart of the island, showing us secret waterfalls and jungle trails. We'll lunch on the beach before sailing back at sunset.
Day 15: Satonda Island
Board our traditional, live-aboard boat for a 3 day, 2 night adventure. Our first stop is Satonda, a tiny island with a sparkling crater lake at its heart. Snorkel over coral gardens, wander through the jungle, and wish on the lake. Enjoy a starry dinner on deck, before sailing to the Komodos overnight
Day 16: Pink Beach & Mantas
We've lined up a special experience after breakfast as we snorkel with manta rays in the crystal clear water. Our next stop is Pink Beach on Komodo Island, where we'll wander down rose-coloured sands, before taking a spectacular trek to one of Indonesia's best viewpoints on Padar Island.
Day 17: Komodo Dragons
Meet the Komodo's living dinosaurs today as our local guides take us in search of these Jurassic creatures. Learn all about the dragons and their habitat before sailing on to Labuan Bajo, Flores, where we'll say goodbye to the captain and crew before breath-taking sunset views over a cocktail.
Day 18: Trip End
After breakfast it's time to pack your bags and say your goodbyes. See you next time!
